  • Parish Pastoral Council Structure / Representatives

Co-chairs: Peter and Teresa Finkle  Secretary: Simon Chappell
Membership includes: Fr Alex (PP – also current representative of Finance committee), Mark O’Connell (Safeguarding), Con McHugh (Website Manager),
Representative of ‘Liturgy and Faith Development’ and ‘Faith in Action’   committees.  Representative of St Gregory’s, Our Lady of Peace and the Polish Community (this may be covered by post holders).

Liturgy and Formation (prev Faith) Development Structure / Representatives

Chairperson: Chris Danes  Secretary:  Marina Smith
Membership includes: MC (Terry Evans).  All leaders of music ministry, sacramental preparation, children’s liturgy, faith development and faith outreach ministries. Representatives of each of the Parish Masses: (5.30pm/ 9.30am/ 11.15pm and the Polish Mass). This committee is intended to co-ordinate these ministries and ensure they are properly trained, resourced and supported in their role of leading the parish closer to God.

Faith in Action Structure / Representatives

Chairperson: Maureen Thompson  Secretary: Simon Chappell
Membership includes: Representatives of all the active groups within the parish (other than those linked to Liturgy and Faith Development) This committee is intended to co-ordinate the actions and resources of the parish as necessary.

Communications Sub-committee – Terms of Reference

Formed in 2024, a group of 3 parishioners – Mark O’ Connell , Damian O’Brien, Con McHugh. The purpose of the group is to:

  1. Assist Parish Priest with his priorities / objectives.
  2. Improve communications within the parish  promoting the activities of all Parish Groups) including FIA, L&FD and Pastoral Council.
  3. Communicate to the whole Parish, faith formation and Catholic Life activities undertaken at both churches in parish. Highlight/Assist with  any gaps in communications.
  4. Identify opportunities to promote activities at at cluster, deanery and diocese level.
  5. Identify best practices to use within parish including newsletter, social media,  website, at Mass, parish calendar.
  6. Meet regularly – suggest every 2 months except the summer.
  7. Provide written input to FIA, L&FD and Pastoral Council meetings in a timely manner.

Agenda/Meeting

Agendas will be published a week in advance of each meeting. Any parishioner may attend a meeting and may raise a point if he/she writes to the  Chairperson in advance and have it acknowledged in the Minutes.
