Our Lady of Peace (OLP) Church expansion meeting:  Saturday, the 6th of November at 11 am

The diocese is very keen for us to expand OLP church to cater for the new housing in the area. There will be a meeting for all parishioners to discuss plans for this on Saturday, the 6th of November at 11 am in the church at Shottery.   It is hoped to expand the seating area by moving the sanctuary and altar  to the present sacristy, and to install a new moveable glass screen between it and the church, to install a new central entrance and new ceiling to cover up the existing industrial roofing, as well as new carpeting and seating. This will greatly increase the church’s capacity as well as creating a much more beautiful, worthy  and fitting place of worship that our Shottery congregation deserves. We have funds available but need to progress this as soon as possible. Hopefully this can be done smoothly and with unanimity and enthusiasm.

These are not necessarily the finished plans but simply a starting point for discussion.
